I found that quote in "Dave Barry's Book of Bad Songs," which I cited elswhere. Perhaps Dave cleaned it up in deference to the proprieties of Sunday magazine readers.
On "The Boy From New York City" special, Rich goes with "g_dd_mned" (don't know how clean you want to keep it). "Freakin'" was the clean, non-offensive public TV version he'd backtrack to.

He really went with "freakin'"? Because the Richard Jeni I know (never knew) would have gone the whole nine yards if he got close to that word.
