Applause, Applause

How many songs have hand-clapping that lasts throughout the entire song? I can think of only one: "Right Back Where We Started From," by Maxine Nightingale. (Actually, I thought of another, but now I can't remember what it was.)

Are there any others?

Doesn't "Bennie and the Jets" have that horrible fake-audience clapping thing going on all the way through?

In most studio uses, the clap track serves as another percussion instrument.
On "Bennie and the Jets" it's this sort of queasy, live-but-clearly-not-live piece of atmosphere.

How about the early Neil Diamond singles that used hand clapping instead of drums?

Shirley Ellis' "The Clapping Song", of course and the many covers I suppose.
